Day 9

June 23, 2005 at 9:29 pm (Personal)

*Flomps unto the bed*

Tired. Aching bones. But works’ worth it. I’m learning so many things but I’m not too sure whether I can put it into my report. I need to add in few things too, like the articles I wrote, the media monitoring bit, but it’s good to learn. Though I do want to faint.

Bleh. :p

Something from something I got fromTarot.com

June 15, 2005 at 10:24 pm (Interesting stuff, Musings, Personal)

The card I got was in the Recent Past, with Four of Pentacles, Goddess Deck:

Relinquish inauthentic traits and tendencies you adopted as a child.

The card in the Recent Past position refers to events that are just departing, recently influential but now diminishing in power.

With the Four of Coins in this position, you have discovered that parts of your personality are not authentically yours. They are the results of conditioning — the influence of your parents, religious training, teachers and so forth. This is normal, but now you have an opportunity to let go of inauthentic traits and tendencies you adopted as a child.

Don’t overlook the possibility, however, that some of these traits could be positive, which you may want to keep. Ask yourself “What can I use from this endowment?” Even some negative qualities that have come down to you can be transformed into positive expression.

In the English-school decks, we see the image of a person who is stuck in his or her misunderstanding of how the material plane works. He’s afraid to let go of his four measly coins, because he doesn’t know he has to give in order to get. When looked at this way, this is the card of “poverty consciousness.”

Ti… That bold thing scares me.

Bit of poetry between friends

June 15, 2005 at 9:57 pm (Poetry)

Happened on AIM, between two friends:

Beauty fades, dumb is forever.
But intelligence leaves a lasting impression
And a moment of brilliance wipes out all drugdery

Whaddya think? :)

Day Three

June 15, 2005 at 8:15 pm (Personal)

So, as I mentioned yesterday, I did media monitoring. What I had to go through was about 2 months’ worth of Borneo Post, supposedly the biggest English daily in the world, and find clippings related to the clients. Originally I was drafted only to only do Consumer, but I’m doing both now.Well, mainly because I don’t think we have copies for corporate.

So I took out MANY MANY Articles for the Singapore Tourism Board.

Clients. Sheesh!

I’m still stuck in the office because the person whose work I was doing is still doing is still on the phone with a client. Bleh.
