Internet Drama is interesting, but not when there are too many rumours flying around and you don’t know who quite to trust.

An acquaintance known for being very straight and in your face, is accusing a close friend of being a rumour mill. Thing is, I know the rumour mill, and I can see why someone might think of him that way.

Ah well, one’s a rumour mill and the other’s a drama queen. NOW, TO PREPARE FOR SINGAPORE~~~

Anyone know where I can get the bottom?

This morning, I got flowers from Raz for my birthday. That was a very pleasant surprise, especially with the bears on top. The best was yet to come though.

In the wide world of dating, there are many options. Do you go for the flashy guy with the smooth smile, or the dude in the corner typing away on his laptop? The following are reasons why I think my fellow females should pay more attention to the quiet geeks and nerds, and less attention to the flashy boys.

Testing MeeboMe!

April 9, 2007

Meebo is a service that I would recommend to anyone who is using their IM services just for IM-ing and not for transferring files (you’d be better off with the original client or Trillian if you have AIM, Y!Messenger, etc). It also helps circumvent the usual ban most places like colleges and offices put on IM clients, by being based solely in the browser, and doesn’t pop up like the web versions of MSN and AIM. However, IT-savvy depts might block the ports/IP addresses of Meebo.

If you want to talk to me, just drop me a line in the little “Meebo Me” widget on the right hand side of this blog. Enjoy your stay!

By your own standards, am I a geek?

A reminder…

January 25, 2007

On GaiaOnline (an online website I go to), I equipped my engraved golden bracelet. I can’t remember who gave it to me (not sure if it was even myself hah) but I know I got it about one or two days after engraving had been introduced in Gaia.

I decided to check the message out today just to see what had been written, and it was a slap in the face.

“Remember to treasure yourself always.”

I’ll remember that. As long as I have that bracelet. I promise.

According to bro, comp’s running on SDRam. I have a 256mb.

Anyone can spare me some extra ram? Or at least tell me where to get a 1gig one without killing my wallet? Preferably under RM500 if possible. >

Capping speeds?

November 9, 2006

A quick browse through some of the more active tech forums in Malaysia (AKA Lowyat) reveals that speed capping by TM is NOT An isolated incident. TM Blames P2Pers for the slow speed, and according to one article, is planning on limiting the upload and download speed so that everyone would have a fairer share of the pie. In my opinion, the only one who will get a better piece of the pie is TM. From what has been proposed, TM is planning to limit people to a limited bandwidth plan, whereby if you use too much within that day, you will go down to 120kB/ps.

Which in my opinion is absolute bullshit. They can’t even give us a 1M connection (for those who are on 1M) and they’re thinking of limiting us further. I don’t do P2P often, and neither does my brother. From what I’ve heard, the main reason for the capping/throttling as they call it is because too many people are BT (bit-torrenting).

Considering that most of the stuff we want are NOT available on the market, you don’t really expect us to fly to places like Japan to get it, do you?

And FYI, according to one article, my Youtube is supposed to be loading faster since they’ve de-prioritized the BT queues. Guess what? My Youtube is so slow, it’s not even funny. Takes about 20-30 minutes for a video to start up.

I’m NOT in favour for limited plans.
